My Son – Marble Mountain – Cham Museum (08:00am to 4.00pm)
Your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel in Hoi An at 8.00am. Start tour by driving to Tra Kieu village which was the site for the first capital city of the Champa Kingdom. It was built in the fourth century although time and the ravages of war have damaged it. From the grounds of the Catholic Church on nearby Buu Chau Hill we overlook the site where the old capital city stood.
From Tra Kieu we drive to My Son Holy City where we see the Cham Dance performance by local dancers (9.30am, 10.30am and 1.30pm daily).
After a short site overview session your guide will take you around all the different temple sites in the My Son complex.
Most of the 70 odd temple structures that have been identified range from the fourth to fifteenth century. During the walk we stop and also see the small museum which houses some excellent artifacts.
After My Son Tour we stop for a break and have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch we drive to Marble Mountain to see the wonderful limestone cave complex inside the mountain.
After exploring the caves and temples at Marble Mountain we drive to Da Nang to visit the Cham Museum where we see all the beautiful artifacts that have been discovered over the centuries and are now housed here for preservation.
After museum visit your tour guide returns you to your hotel in Hoi An. Finish of tour – around 4.00pm
