On our day tour from Hoi An to Hue, you can visit the Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda and either Minh Mang or Khai Dinh Tomb. Your guide & driver meet you at your hotel in Hoi An at 7.000 am.

From Hoi An we drive North through Da Nang and go under the mountain range via the 7km long Hai Van Tunnels. We then continue North to Hue, the last imperial capital of the Nguyen royal dynasty, nestled on the banks of the Perfume River.

First we visit the moated “Citadel” which includes the Royal Palace, Imperial City, the Forbidden City and all the surrounding buildings on a huge site roughly 2 kilometers square.

From the Citadel we take a dragon boat ride on the Perfume River down to the Thien Mu Pagoda. After a visit to the pagoda we stop and have lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch we head out into the surrounding mountains and visit a tomb of one of the ancient kings, either Minh Mang or Khai Dinh. All the sites we visit are UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites and all cover many acres of land, they are very big.

We return back to Hoi An around 7.00pm.
